I have been thinking about trying out tournaments with my csm, and I like the Nurgle theme. I was wondering how this list looks and if it needs any tweaking to be more effective. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I was also wondering how competitive this list is.

You probably won't have many problems in your backfield (camping with zombies) but slogging your PM's forward won't win you many objectives on your opponents side (even with drakes whittling them down).

Either rhino up or be super- aggressive deep striking the Oblits and burning their obj. holders.

Just needs a little more "gas pedal" for a Tourney, even with 3 drakes.

I would love to take rhinos, except that they basically would give my opponent first blood which is pretty important.

Would taking rhinos still be worth it? If not, what do you suggest would be a more effective troop choice?

I've been experimenting with a similar list, but keeping the zombies to 6 small units (that's all my troops) and using two large groups of nurgle spawn. Also I like squads of 3 oblits each, and attach typhus to a squad of oblits, to make a great little mini-deathstar that I can deepstrike into enemy lines with (depending on matchup). if you wanted you could even attach a nurgle biker lord or bike sorcerer to a unit of spawn for a fast durable hard hitting ground unit.

small groups of zombies can keep enemies tied up forever... don't forget each zombie 'champion' can spend a turn challenging the enemy lord in single combat...

it's also important for typhus to be close to the enemy for him to use his psychic powers and be effective.

3 helldrakes is considered competitive now, but you may want to consider just having one flyer because new codexes are throwing a lot more AA options out there. Most armies in the meta have a lot of great shooting, and tricks to gun down plague marines... especially new Tau. speedy ground units, combined with multiple small assaulting units, are most effective against them.

also I'm guessing the aegis line has a quad gun... but in any case you might want to lose it. it gets kind of awkward on the battlefield when you start a lot of zombies behind there, then they all have to make difficult terrain checks to get past it... and can't go to ground to get the increased 2+ save. very bad when you have a big swarm of slow troops that are just slogging across the field. better for a gunline army.
