Hey everyone,

I'm really new to the hobby, I've just recently picked up the dark vengeance set. I like all the colour schemes for the minis except for the terminators, not a big fan of the cream colour. Just need some help with a different colour scheme for them, I've looked around but like I said I'm fairly new and it seems most paint them up as that cream colour. Anyone have some suggestions? Or good links to other tutorials or colour schemes?

Thanks in advance!

Prior to some time in the 36th Millennium, Dark Angels Terminators wore black. You might try that.

(That's what I do, although have no pictures handy.)

Hmmmm, that could be cool, although I'm a fan of brighter colour schemes. I'm still putting the box set together so I'll have lots of time to think about it!

nothing really stopping you from converting them to any other chapter; here is what I did with mine.

4 of them are from the DV box set, the libby is a kitbash.

My terminators are also converted from starter set termies. (AoBR, but still, pretty similar.)

You could always just put them in normal DA colors. It's your call, really. Sky's the limit. Alternately, if you want to stick to the DA idea, you could go with one of their successor chapters. Here is a few of them with chapter colors that are different from the Dark Angels (and not black) to get you started. Most of the others are also green, bone, and black.

Hope this helps, and I hope your army turns out well!

The salamanders terms look sweet. And they could be from another chapter. But if my fluff is right it has to be dire need to use troops from another chapter. Or you could go crusader force and as you expand your army make squads go to different chapters.

As for my DV box when I started late December early january I just created my own chapter.

The valiant never taste of death but once."

Thanks for all the suggestions guys! Think I may decide between those guardians of the covenant or the salamanders, will be tough to choose though!

You could also look into the sub-chapters (the actual term escapes me, right now). A lot of them have totally different color schemes.

Or you can just do your own thing.
