Nurgle Predator Driver with an Infestation

So I played a game over the weekend and my Abaddon challenged my friends DA Terminator champ in one of his squads. I won the challenge, but we weren't sure what happens to Abaddon afterwards. Does he continue with the rest of the squad he was with in the fight, or does he leave that unit and become his own unit? When the next round of CC comes, is he now included in the fight, or still outside waiting for it to finish?

Nothign about a challenge makes you join or leave your unit. Once a challenge is over a new challenge can be issued next turn, or he can fight as normal wiith his unit.

The challenge fight is only separate from the rest of the CC as a visual abstraction. They don't actually step off to the side to duke it out and are still in the middle of the fight. If a character wins his challenge and there's no one else who steps up, or he doesn't challenge anyone else in the next round, then he's involved in the melee as normal.

Even if the combat is over from a wipeout and Abby is left out of coherency, he still counts as part of the unit until the end of your next Movement phase. That's the only time he can join or leave.

Not true. Re-read the IC rule (specifically left column, 5th paragraph (4th under "Joining and Leaving a Unit"), last sentence).

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

...unless everyone else gets killed. Aah, blast it Happyjew, you didn't let me finish!
(Fair enough - I kinda forgot about that possibility.)
