What is the best way to go about buying the bikes for a space marine biker army. I was thinking abut puppets war bikes. But I would also like to use GW models. What would be the best way to go about collecting the bikes I need.

If you want, snatch a DA ravenwing battleforce. 6 bikes, AB, and LS with 2-3 Ravenwing Upgrade sprues for 110. Its like getting a free LS and all the 13 dollar sprues after pricing (90 for bikes, 27 for the AB, 30 for LS and 26 for the sprues)

I second that, the RW battleforce is perfect for building up a bike force.
Sell all the stuff you don't want on ebay (or just give me your speeders )

Second for the Ravenwing battleforce. It really is a fantastic deal. I'd say it's THE way to bulk out a bike army. And the bits on those upgrade sprues... my goodness the bits. It's fantastic.

Out of interest how do the puppet war models scale work vs the GW stuff, particularly thinking about their tanks?
One word of warning is be cautious of ebay. Bikes can be a little awkward to put togther (if you rush and are new to it). In the past I foolishly won 3 CSM bikes, under coated in black and with a distant photo, nothing in the description beyond WYSIWYG. When they did turn up it looked like they had been glued together in 5 minutes then squiched over to one side. When I've looked at other lots several are poorly out together.
On another note; if you want 3 squiched bikers, I'm your man!

If you like the ravenmwing look, or are willing to do some light conversion, then I would say the cheapest way is certainly buying the bikes from the dark vengeance box on ebay. It will be half the price at least of buying them through other means besides other companies, and I can't think of another company that sells battle-bikes

Why bother buying GW models? They have inflated prices and draconian business practices. GW no longer supports the players by sponsoring tournaments. You owe GW nothing.
Don't get me wrong. If they produce a product or model you like and think is a good value, buy it. I suggest buying rulebooks/codex's as you are playing their ruleset. I suggest buying an awesome model you like. I still buy GW models that I want to put together and paint.
However, don't feel obliged to buy their products. If you find a bike army on ebay, take it. If you find another company that sells bikes, grab them. You owe GW no allegiance with your purchases. If GW wants our dollars, they will need to earn them.

I already found two people selling bikes and bid on them. And I am going to buy puppets war bikes and make them look cooler. Do you know of any non GW land speeders.

Expensive, but a cool looking alternative. Puppets war makes a flier as well, but I'm not sure about the scale.
