Subject: Ethereal, Drones + Riptide, drones = Good Combo?

Looking at the drones rules, the respective toughness values for an Ethereal, shield/ML/gun drones, shielded missile drones and Riptides...
Join an ethereal with 2 drones (shield?) to a riptide with two drones. All models have effective T6 (right?) - although be cautious with ID on the ethereal.
The squad has LD10, stubborn & has a bigger squad size.
Everything has effective T6.
A great way to secure an ethereal. You could put an ethereal in a stealth-team squad, for example, but the stealth suits would not be able to infiltrate. A riptide can be where the ethereal needs it to be.
What do you all think? Any major flaws or failings?

You are joining together two of the biggest tau fire magnets, thereby allowing your enemy to concentrate fire. Also you are pinning down the otherwise very mobile battlesuit to be in coherency with the ethereal during the assault phase moves.

More importantly, your taking away the Riptide's ability to JSJ b ecause the Ethereal cannot move in the assault phase.
