Hey all.

So, I play daemons, and I have a keeper of secret's. Now, on the internet, i'm reading that the KOS with the psychic power invisibility from the telepathy discipline, is absolutely amazing.

And I'm looking at the power and thinking...why? I don't get it.

Invisibility gives it a 4+ cover in the open, as opposed to the 5+ invulnerable it comes with base. Thats...good, but not so incredible as its being made out to be.

It also reduces enemy weapon skill to 1 in close combat...which would be great, if the KOS didn't already have weapon skill 9, meaning it doubles out almost everything anyway.

Am I missing something? Can someone please help me figure this out? What's so great about invisibility on a KOS?

if you are in cover you have a 2+. It's less good than it was before Tau came out. Markerlights and ignore cover make invisibility a little less amazing.

That being said a scary MC with a 2+ cover is awesome.

I was playing someone who uses invisibility, and I dont have the books on me, but is it true that it makes all opponents in melee have a WS of 1?

I was still able to wound it but could'nt take it down because of this.

Did you read the first post? Or the rulebook at the time of the game?

Invisibility doesn't have to be cast on the Psyker - it's any friendly unit within 24".

Any unit you cast it on gets +3 to a cover save. Any. Unit. In addition to the WS1 effect.

Oh hey look he did mention it in the first post.

But at the time of game I just took his word for it. But a WS of 1 against ws 9 is still 5+ to hit.

WS1 hits anything WS2 or higher on a 5+...

And every unit in your list is WS9?
Or are some WS4 or 5, where without invis your opponent would need 4s?

Yeah, the 5+ to hit was definitely in his benefit, but to the point of the OP he may be wondering how beneficial that is.

I had a swarm around the thing where sheer numbers was able to put two wounds on it with Invis. But I'd say the real benefit is from ranged attacks.
