Just got the game, but can't install it till after the examination. Can I get any reviews from anyone who's currently playing the game.
I name myself the biggest fan of Bioshock lore, so would like to know- is it really that good? Please mention why?

From what I've seen, the atmosphere is amazing and the game is beautiful. The story's also apparently quite good. Although it all comes at the cost of actual mechanics. The shooting is lackluster and it's pretty linear.

on the forum. Obviously

The game is horribly hyped. The visuals are great and the story is decent, but the gameplay is completely neutered and unsatisfying, and you don't really get to explore the world they show you.

It should have been a movie, not a game.

Agreed, and the perks or whatever they where called are somewhat lackluster when you end up relying on only two or three. Also the game is so predictable its only sad. Save your money unless you really, really like Bioshock

Poor to middling gameplay with a fanciful setting. I enjoyed the story and its exploration a lot, but if you come for the Americana then you might be disappointed as it's really just the backdrop.

They were Vigors, and I rather enjoyed them. they were quite fun to combine, and I found that as you unlocked more you could have some fun with how you used them. And yes, the game was incredibly predictable. so predictable in fact that all of my freinds that played it, to the last man, were completely thrown by the plot. Because, you know, it wasn't actually that predictable.
I would heartily recommend it.

I enjoyed the game, but I don't see myself playing through it a second time like I did the original Bioshock. Columbia and Comstock just weren't as interesting to me as Rapture and Andrew Ryan.
Overall, it's still worth playing.

Like all these big releases, I rent before I make a purchase. And in the case of Bioshock:Infinite, i'm I glad I did. Don't get me wrong, it's well acted, the script is decent, it looks amazing on a 50" plasma screen in 720p, but....

The gameplay is a little dull and I question the value for money factor. It took me 6 hours to complete, and that's just not long enough imo...

But there's DLCs coming up- I'm sure they'll be good.

I loved the game, the game play is absolutely no worse then any other triple a game out at the moment and I don't find it any different from bio 1 or 2.

I've played through twice, took my time and did some exploring each time. Took me awhile each time, I guess it's because I don't throw it on easy and blast through it in a few hours.
