I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this or if it should go under the Tournament or possibly the army list forums. So my question is about the 250 point sideboard and how that works. I know the maximum size army is 1000 points. So is that 1250 points total, including the side board, with a army size of 1000 points on the board, or is it a 1000 points max, 750 points army with 250 point sideboard, and a 750 point army on the board.

If anyone played in the tournament, or if you read the pdf. link to the rules and understand the process, please help me out.

Sideboards usually mean that, using this example, you'd have a 1k army that you could swap 250 points in and out.

Hey, this is Nick, the guy that ran the Warzone tournament at Adepticon.

Rigeld2 is essentially correct. The only thing Rigeld2's answer neglects is the bit about maintaining your FOC. Because you have to maintain your chosen FOC chart you build the army as a 1250 point army but only use 1000 points of it each game. You have to flag which unit you intend to be your sideboard, and which units they will replace.
