I'm pretty new at all of this, but I absolutely love the hobby side of wargaming. As such, I'm -always- trying new things.

For a point of reference, here are the few pics I've thrown up elsewhere:

My first set of Dark Eldar Warriors -- they're still a WIP:
Spoiler:

My very first Space Marine:
Spoiler:

My first attempt at using spackle to base -- also, I was experimenting with adding flock after ballast using watered down PVA:
Spoiler:

And, now, the whole reason I wanted to start this... My Deathwing Terminator Librarian. He's not painted -- he's not even done converting -- but I'm really happy with where it's going.

He started out as an eBay scored Finecast Terminator Librarian (primed gray, washed with dark green?). I used a dremel to carve out the face cavity, which I replaced the head with a Deathwing Knights(DWK) hooded head. The hand is a bit from Blood Angels Death Company, and the Dark Angels bit at the top of his backpack-pole (is there a proper term for that?) is from the Ravenwing upgrade sprue. I still have a Grey Knights Paladin sword/hand for his right hand, and I have a DWK cape that I'm going to add after painting.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm uploading them to Dakka right now.

Back to the DEldar. I'm working on my wet-blending, and I'm erring on the side of too-thin. You can't really tell in this image (I should have added a model that I didn't work on) but I added highlights to the shoulder pads and helmets.

Also, the two models with visible injection points, I didn't clean those ( I'm pretty sure I got all the rest, though) -- they came from an ebay deal already assembled and primed, and since I have something like 50 warriors to work on, I didn't want to spend all the extra time cleaning them.

I put the Librarian on a base: (Sorry, apparently my camera prefers to look at the Dark Eldar in the background)

And this is the Apothecary I've been working on. Arms, head, shoulder pads, and the thing on his back are magnetized so I can swap him out as I need. In the future, I'll make an apothecary that's not magnetzied, because the thing on his back keeps coming off.

On both, the greenstuff is a recess I carved into the base, which I'll put water in.

I don't think I've ever hated guitar string and wire this much in my life.

The bit from the Grey Knights Paladins showed up today, so I got that attached to the librarian. I only had gel CA glue, for better or worse, and though I tried to be sparing on it the joint on the back of the wrist didn't end up nearly as clean as I'd hoped, so I ended up covering it with a purity seal from the Ravenwing upgrade sprue.

I primed my Librarian, and I've gotta say, I'm REALLY happy with how it turned out.

I finished the squad of DEldar Warriors. The oil wash ended up too thick, and I waited too long to remove it, so it ended up really dark on the two flesh-toned faces. Also, I'm not skilled enough at blending, yet, to be happy with my OSL.

It's hard to tell, but I'm really attempting to do good true metallics (I'm not a huge fan of NMM). There are at least three gradients of metal (Natural Steel, German Grey mixed with metallic medium, Silver, and black ink mixed with metallic medium).

Very fine work with the paint consistency. I think people should paint how they want, but there is no reason not to take the little bit of extra time to thin your paints.

No, I haven't fallen off the planet -- I'm simply converted to the dark side. Malifaux.

This is my first attempt at wood, or anything railroad related.
