I have some blood crushers, because I love the models, and want to field them in my Khorne army. However, they're not as sturdy as they once were, and generally aren't considered worth taking these days.
However, being a stubborn ass, as I am, I've been trying to play around with a way to make them worthwhile.
I was wondering if it would be considered too ridiculous to take 4 Herlads of Khorne on Juggernauts, and run them in a single unit together?

The plan would be to take 4 Herlads of Khorne on Juggernauts, give one a Locus of Fury and another the Locus of Wrath. I assume they will all benefit from these if I run them in a single unit?

The benefits:
Better stats than the bloodcrushers. In particular, I was looking at the better Toughness, so they won't be annihilated by S8 or 9 weapons.
More attacks. They'll get 4 attacks each, standard.
Benefits of multiple Loci. With this they'll get +2 attacks on the charge, and hatred. I could even give them the Locus of Abjuration for extra business, if I wanted.

Cons:
The most expensive bloodcrushers of all time! The unit as I plan to run them costs 445 points... Which is alot to spend on what would essentially be a single HQ choice. Especially as I have nothing to give them a better save of any kind, without forking out for rewards on them all too...

Also, is there anything I'm missing in regards to the rules here? I assume they'll all benefit from the loci, but some nagging voice in my head is telling me that it's not legal.
Let me know what you think.

You want the Grimoire for them if you do this. Granted, the bearer won't benefit but at least the other 3 heralds + bloodcrushers will have the better invulnerable save.

For better shenanigans, take a Lord of Change and hope you get Forewarning + Grimoire for a 2++ save.

Or as the dice may go a 6+ normal armour save!

Remember only one Locus (the highest quality one) will have an effect.

I take 3 Heralds on Juggers + 3 Crushers with some Psychic Shenanigans to get either Endurance, Invisibility, Forewearning + Grimoire. I also take Greater Rewards. Usually the combination of Psychic Rolls and Rewards will give me a very, very durable Crusher unit that can often withstand the full brunt of my opponents shooting for multiple turns.

I also take Fateweaver because he allows me to make my Grimoire/Psychic rolls very consistent. I'd consider not taking the Grimoire on a Crusher model but rather a separate Herald that you'll place with another unit (in my case I place a Disc Tzherald with Screamers).

Ah yeah, re-reading the rules. I see... Hmmm, nevermind the multiple loci then. Thanks.

I generally also run a Bloodthirster in the other HQ slot. I could maybe give the grimoire to him? I've never tried to use the Grimoire before, I fear it's unreliable weakening of an already weak invul save... But I could give it a go, I suppose. At least some of the time it'd do great, I'm sure.

I like the idea. I would splurge on a lesser gift weapon for ap2. I'd also consider keeping the squad to three to keep points down. That's still plenty of kill power

I have 6 Bloodcrusher models, so perhaps run 3 Bloodcrushers and 3 Heralds on Juggernauts?
