It took me longer than expected to paint them, but it is done now. The torsos and fireball are from the Empire Greatswords kit, the rest are from the Cadian Command Squad kit, Cadian troop box, one hand from the Cadian Heavy Weapon kit and greenstuff for the hood, cap&collar and to hold the torso to the legs. C&C if you may.

Nice conversions and some really clever uses of bits. I'm not totally convinced by the commissar as a Commissar Lord, but otherwise bravo!

I would encourage you to paint the sand on your bases, but I know there is an element of taste and preference in that sort of thing.

Yeah it was more to denote that the Commissar can always double up as a Lord if need be.

I'd prefer doing the bases as is, a coat of sand, then after drying putting up some grass here and there, plus I use the naked base to wash out the extra paint on my brush.

The axe is very interesting, that is really cool!

I think a wash on them would bring out some of the details and make them less flat-looking. Look good though, I like the conversion work.

Love the conversions and painting. Have to say though, I don't like the axe conversion. I've seen this axe conversion done plenty of times before and none of them look like an axe to me.... But I haven't seen too many better alternatives either so go figure.
