Subject: Solland Reconquest Background Fluff

Warning From Magnus? Not Listening!

Working on the background for my Empire Army. Any constructive criticism is welcome. Here's part 1: “In the year 1707 IC, the province of Solland was overrun by a hoard of orcs. Leading this greenskin Waaagh was Gorbad Ironclaw, one of the most infamous orcs the empire had ever seen. Gorbad cut through Black Fire Pass and destroyed the army of Solland at the River Aver. In an attempt to stop the hoard, Elector Count Eldred faced the greenskin warboss in one-on-one combat. The brief hope died quickly as Eldred was quickly dismembered by the warboss and hung on the trophy rack of the army. Gorbad went on to destroy the rest of Solland and ravage much of the Empire before finally being killed. As none of Eldred’s family survived the destruction, the remains of the province were absorbed into Wissenland, and Solland fell into the depths of history. Living in Nuln, Caecar Bucconianus had an easy life; he belonged to a wealthy family that had resided there for almost 500 years and owned a large estate in the heart of the city. How they had come to power was unknown, but Caecar did not trouble himself with his lineage. He was happy to enjoy the fruits of the aristocracy and spend his days on his many hobbies. Wandering through the family library one night, Caecar came across a book that he had never seen before. It seemed to be bound in a peculiar leather, faintly tan and the occasional blemish appearing. As he opened the book, a scrap of paper fell to the floor. Caecar bent down to pick up the paper, noticing that is was made from the same material as the covering of the book. Glancing at the paper, he tried to read the tight script scrawled across it. ‘In mobilibus lunarum Tus corruent Malal arripuerit Et spes vertit in pulverem’ Even though he was unable to understand the language, Caecer felt a sense of unease roll over him. He quickly placed the scrap back inside the book and hurried out of library, book under arm. Closing the door, moonlight filled the empty room once again.” *EDIT* Would a mod please move this to Fantasy General Discussion/ Background. I guess I posted this in the wrong section. Sorry
