what do people accept and or expect when it comes to WYSIWYG and the rewards available to chaos daemons, since they have the potential to have completely different weapons from one game to the next, is it fair to say as long as your using the correct model, wargear options are irelevant? example of this could be a bloodthirster with an exalted reward, in one game he could count as eqipeed with the whip, axe of khorne and eternal blade and the next game have two axes and a whip or the next game have 1 axe 1 whip and one extra special rule.... how does one model such a reward?

GW wants you to buy for every possible combination.
I don't really mind, as long as the rewards are written down somewhere (even if I can only se it at the end of the game).

This is a question I've studiously avoided thinking about.
But I don't think anyone is going to demand you bring 10 versions of each model with rewards..

As far as I have gone is having a few heralds, one of which has the book (grimoure) and others have the staff not that I ever would run a staff of change on a herald!

Thats why all daemon character from now on should just be modeled as shrugging there shoulders with a confused look on there face. When you ask what wargear the daemon has just pint to the model
Now they just act like nids, tau, eldar, etc, in that unless you play them who know what weapon that is until you ask anyway.

Too true. People go through their lists with "this is a Warrior Order Staple Lord, he is carrying a Draingun, six Laser Grenades, and is wearing a Heavy Cauldron Hat" and you're like "... that sounds fair."

+1 to Purifier
To the OP, I'd just model what ever looks the coolest. Or if you wanted WYSIWYG you could model a bunch of bloodletters/plague bearers like golf caddies and have each one carrying a different weapon. Magnetize them, then then stick the appropriate minion on the greater daemon's base.

This is what I do with my Daemons. I typed up a list of my characters and laminated the sheet. There are spots for rewards and psychic powers, for each character ( HQs, Troop upgrades, etc). While rolling my rewards, I write in dry erase at the beginning of each game. This lets me keep track of the eight rewards and countless psychic powers, and also lets my opponent easily check what I rolled. When the battle is over, I wipe off the sheet, ready for another game!

I do the above although not laminated just print a new spreadsheet each time. I am currently doing markers with visio to help with what psyhic power is in force at the time.
