Hello Everyone!

So I've just taken the plunge (again) into Flames of War, and I was able to scrape up a Sting of the Scorpion box set, a Honey Stuart platoon and the Burning Empires book to get my force started with. I'm trying to make a non-pushover raiding force, but I'm having a bit of a hard time figuring out how to equip them and what to buy.

So I've thought that it would be a good idea to have a tirailleurs artillery platoon, but the only one I can seem to find on the Battlefront website is the 75mm MLE 1897 platoons, while Burning empires states that I need the 75mm MLE 1928 platoon. Am I missing something? Was there a 1928 gun platoon that has since gone out of production? I was thinking the artillery would be good for smoking up an area while my fast trucks maneuver while still being able to take pot-shots at infantry in the open from time to time. Am I thinking the right way?

Also, is the interdiction force worth the points? Seems like having a reliable interdiction force easily drives points up there. What do you guys think? I was thinking of using it in early war when the Honey Stuart wasn't available.

Is there any glaring weakness (besides the whole raiding force idea) that I need to address in order to avoid being a push-over? What types of armies am I likely to come up against in a more competitive environment for early and mid war?

One of them filthy casuals...
