My list: 18 firewarroirs, 15 kroot and one shaper(modifyed kroot carn), 3 sniper drones and controller, 3 crisis suits, 3 stealth suits and one marker drone, hammerhead, 8 gun drones and one ethereal. yesterday i bought the hammerhead and stealth team. And until then was running a full eldar army of over 2000 points. Or a mix of tau and eldar.But now i want to build tau up more. So comes my thought of pathfinders as my next buy. Im in need of marker lights. Any thoughts on this?

Im fighting a lot of orks as well, Gray Knights/SM and necron players. Also dealing with a full death wing army and 2 land raiders. Hence the reason why i got the hammer head. (my friends armys)

If you haddent glued it in yet you could make the gun drones count as marker drones which should give you most of your marker light needs if you a commander. however a box of pathfinders isn't bad at all and is relatively priced very nicely.

Second option is to save up for a riptide as it basically is new new multi tool for tau. (ap2 templates that can be st9 ordnance. yes please. )

tetras for marker lights over pathfinders any day. I play against Tau a lot in my meta and I find the tetras with dpods wayyyy more pesky
