Subject: Airbrush paints - Can i use these acrylics??

My airbrush just arrived in the post (YAYAYAYAYAA!) and im desperate to give it a whirl
But what paints can i use in it? I have looked around and watched some vids, I will be using my GW paints thinned down, but I also have loads of painting acrylics in tubes (as i like to paint in general), Can i use these? They are Galeria acrylics, tubes.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Winsor-Newton-Galeria-Acrylic-Colour/dp/B00004THXG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1368002594&sr=8-1&keywords=winsor+and+newton+acrylics
At the moment they are obviously too thick, so If i can use these I would be looking at; a thinner? or would I want something like a matte medium too?
Many thanks

You "should" be able to use them with the right amount of thinning + acrylic medium. Just depends on pigment size. I'd recommend getting out a test model/ sprue of some sort and try it out.

Agreed. I have (specifically Cobalt Blue) and, when appropriately thinned, works just fine.

I don't recommend GW paints as they clog up the thing like...well the pigment size is too big. If you like to swear a lot and want to Google how to field strip your airbrush in under 5 minutes, use the GW paints. Vallejo paints seem to do just fine, you just need to thin the "game colors" a bit more than their specially formulated acrylic airbrush paints. Most of the YouTube tuts say use Windex to thin, and it seems to be working well for me.

Absolutley you can use them. I started out using these with my airbrush working on canvases. They're a bit thick, would reccommend some airbrush medium from Liquitex or Golden to reduce it down to suitable viscosity, some alcohol thinner might be helpful too in getting it extra thin without diluting down the colour too much.

^ This.
I highly recommend actual Airbrush Medium (yes, you can use other things, but this works amazingly well) - I personally prefer the Golden brand, but the liquitex is decent too.

Ah thats excellent info guys thanks!
Yeh I paint alot on canvas and I wanted an airbrush anyways. So i thought why buy paints for my models (especially at GW prices....) all over again when I have more acrylics than i can possibly ever use up.
Il look into these airbrush mediums this weekend and have a few tests on some grots and sprues Thanks again
