So I'm about halfway through putting my grey knights together and I still haven't decided on a colour scheme :| the last thing I want to do is paint them silver as I really dislike painting it. What I am sure of is that there having lava and rock bases rather common but they look cool none the less and my original idea was to paint them purple and gold but after painting a few test marines I'm not really happy with the colour because I think the purple is to dark and I'd like a bright colour so my second idea was to paint them a bright green but I'm unsure what the secondary colour could be maybe still gold but I'm unsure if this will work or not and with the lava bases will they be mistaken for salamanders ? What do you guys think ?

HOT PINK!
anyways, black has always looked good, red, and white IMHO (and I mean them all as main seperate schemes, not together)

I know there is a purple GK scheme on Dakka from another member called "The 8th Brotherhood" you should be able to find it by searching and I personally think it's an amazing scheme. I have also seen a few folks in the past that do Grey Knights in an actual Grey rather than silver, something like Codex Grey or Celestra Grey.

"You are like a son and together we have all but conquered the galaxy. Now the time has come for me to retire to Terra. My work as a soldier is done and now passes to you for I have great tasks to perform in my earthly sanctum. I name you Warmaster and from this day forth all of my armies and generals shall take orders from you as if the words came from mine own mouth. But words of caution I have for you for your brother Primarchs are strong of will, of thought and of action.

I don't know that i'd ever get back into GK's, but I always liked the idea of a salmon color as the main, secondary being warm yellows. Sort of Blood Raven esque, but not quite.

The 8th brotherhood scheme is what made me want to do purple in the 1st place but if I remember rightly his are done with an airbrush and I only have a hand brush and can't get it to look anywhere near as good :( and I'm not sure if red will look very good as they will be on a lava base so they may merge together to much and my last army was imperial fists so I'm a little bored of painting yellow. Thanks for the fast reply's tho
