Two (well, three,) questions here...
In the Sisters of Battle codex, it lists Death Cult Assassins and Crusaders as being armed with 2 (1, for crusaders,) power weapons, but dies not specify what power weapon they have. Would it be legal to arm them with power axes or lances, (with appropriate model customization, of course.) 1D4Chan suggests that you can, but I don't trust that site all too much.
The next question would be, if you are armed with both a power sword and power axe, would you get the +1 attack bonus?

1. yes, any model armed with a "power weapon" is armed with a power weapon of your choice, just make sure to model it correctly, so yes you can give your death cult assasins your choice of any two power weapons, and your crusaders your choice of any one power weapon

2. power weapons are not specialist weapons, hence you get +1 attack for haveing any additional close combat weapon

if anyone gives you greif over giveing them power weapons of your choice, notice that the sisters FAQ specifically changes the wording from "power sword" to "power weapon".

also in my GK codex which also has these units, the reference is also to "power weapons"

side note, power maul + axe on the death cults for the win!

I was thinking power sword+axe myself. (And power Axe on crusaders since they are already I1.) That way I've got an AP3 option at higher initiative than Marines or an AP2 option that can take down the big nasties in Terminator Armor.

I tend to arm my dca with lances and mauls and my crusaders axes

How does that work out with Inititive steps?

An Axe is unwieldly and goes on Initive 1, the sword ins't and goes on Initive 5 on a DCA. Do you chose which one to use and gain the bonus attack regardless? (I play nids so I don't ever run into this situation)

You choose at start of combat.

My general loadout (when I ran them) was Jacobus:
4 Crusaders (Power Axe/Storm Shield)
2 DCA with Sword/Maul
2 DCA with Axe/Sword
2 DCA with Maul/Axe

Gives me 4 of any weapon at any given time.

Ooh, that's clever. I think I'm gonna steal that idea.
