Simple SW list with tau for anti-airplane guns (i prefer the broadside but the cant take Early warning override & Velocity tracker nad cost 100 p more ) ideas for improvement

Second, can I just say that I *HATE* it when people just post the raw data file of the army list? Seriously, it's hard to read and everyone knows that Grey Hunters have power armor. Plus, I really don't need to know how many bolt pistols and chain blades are in your list. Take the time to put it in by hand or else please trim the fat so I can read it.

Finally, it sort of seems like you only have Tau here so that you can have the Riptide. Right? I sort of think that IG allies with a unit of 3 Hydras would do a better job and fit better into an imperial army.

Yes but i have to buy 3 hybras nad it will take me time beside the point cost

I suppose you don't have to buy the $90 Riptide.

Greyknuckle- Maybe he has a Tau and a SW army and is just trying to play using allies between them. I can say I have SW, Eldar and Tau and have absolutely no desire to pick up IG anything, dislike the models, dislike the fluff.

Dreal- I have been experimenting with my SW and Tau as well. I think overall the broadsides are a better fit that the Riptide if you are looking for anti air. I dont have the points in front of me, but I would drop a unit of Long Fangs (I have trouble getting 2 squads of longfangs good firing positions, I dont know how you do so for 3) and add a bunch of missile broadsides with some missile drones. Heck I wouldnt hesitate to drop 2 units of Long Fangs. They put out 10 MLs, but 3 Broadsides with say 4 missile drones put out 20m str 7 missiles. Even without skyfire (lets say you just give them interceptor) you have 12 shots, 2 hit, reroll 10, 2 more hit, so you have 4 str 7 shots hitting the flyer when it comes on the board.

@Sturguard : It's OK if you want to play your Space Wolves with Tau or Eldar.

Dreal the High Yield Missiles on the Broadsides are str 7 twin linked with 4 shots each. So 3 of them have 12 str 7 tl shots. Add in a few drones for 2 more missiles each drone.
