So I've only dabbled in the Black Library, but lately I've decided to give it a more thorough look starting with the Eldar.

I'm working on the Path of the Warrior, Path of the Seer, Path of the Outcast trilogy. Then I'm planning to go for the Dark Eldar version: Path of the Renegade followed by Path of the Incubus.

So my question is rather simple: Where does The Masque of Vyle fit in? Is it the sequel to Path of the Incubus? Or is it just another Eldar story? I know it doesn't have "Path" in the name which might make my question seem a bit trvial but I just want to make sure I don't miss anything, and hey, no harm in asking right?

P.S. is it just me or is The Masque of Vyle supposed to be an obscure Elder Scrolls reference?

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Well did some internet sleuthing and it seems the last part of this trilogy is Path of the Archon, so that's all settled then.

It has nothing to do with the Gav Thorpe novels. It is written by the author of the Dark Eldar path novels, but is a small independent story. It is an okay read and fits the other novels though. (haven't read Path of Incubus yet)

You will find some crossover stories of both triologies as BL exclusive downloads.

Hmm, ok thanks for the info. I think I'll skip this one and the short stories and stick to the 2 main trilogies.

It is set with the dark eldar books, I suggest reading it after path of the incubus. All the short story ebooks on eldar are worth reading after the dark eldar books although some are set before or parallel to the books but you get to know the characters in the main two books so I would read them first.

Hmm, though I do have a while to go (just started on Path of the Seer). After I finish my Eldar and Deldar binge I think I'm going for Fulgrim and whatever other good Emp's Children stuff is out there. Then finally round it off with some Necron stuff like Dead Men Walking. So The Masque of Vyle and the short stories are going to be on the back-burner for a while.

As you can probably guess I'm only interested in reading about the factions I play.
