hello dudes. this is my dark eldar army so far. i am a beginner in warhammer 40k. my figures were originally covered in purple metallic as a base colour, but im looking to darken the colour to a point where it looks black, then add purple highlights so it looks more like the kabals vanilla colour scheme. i washed most of the minis with nuln oil (a black wash) to darken it, can you have a look for yourself.

any tips to make it darker to an almost purple/black colour?

First off welcome to Dakka.

Now onto your question. if you want to darken up the model id go with a thinned down black wash or ink, then add highlights up to your original color as desired.

if I may offer a few other bits of advice, thin your paints a bit more it will give you a smoother finish and keep the detail of the model. Also play a bit with complimentary and contrasting colors to add depth to the model and to draw the eye to where you want the focus to be.
