Dear Infinity players,

As we just started with some infinity at our local gaming community, I had some questions about WYSIWYG

My daktaris model (nomads) has a combi rifle (profile) but the model didn't come with any sort of weapon. Do i have to scavange my bits for a gun to give her? is it okay to use it without? And can i use her as a moderator medic?

No yes and yes, in that order.

The combi rifle is standard load for the unit.
There is NO 'medic' model for most factions, just doctors, so a proxy substitution should be fine. It'll help YOU keep which one is the medic and which the normal moderator apart, anyway.

WYSIWYG is still very much a pipe dream for Infinity. Once they have a model for each option (something I doubt will EVER happen), then it will be something that can be counted on. Until that point, many players will proxy another model in its place if it will do the job.

Something to note is Corvus Belli seem to be releasing models in the 'fireteam' boxes that have very loose equipment loadouts.

For example, the Druze. One model just has a DEP, which every Druze has, and is listed as having a Combi Rifle. The model listed as having a Hacking device clearly does not have one. Another example is the Tohaa Makaul box, which has a model listed as just having a viral CCW, while such a loadout does not exist, and all the model has is a double bladed stave.

These 'generic' models with no specific loadout are definitely designed to be proxies. It seems CB know they won't get every loadout done, and are happy for people to proxy. Considering there's such a small amount of models used in a game, it's not hard at all keeping track of all of it.
