My attempt at a somewhat traditional lootas and shootas list, with a small 'looted IG' detachment which gives some incredible anti-air.

Looking for a competitive, but not quite WAAC list - with one exception. Theres heaps of Helldrake/Vendetta cheese in my local tournament meta, and I want to break face whenever I come up against that crap. Hence the IG allies!

Only one Forgeworld Option has been taken - the Hydra Weapons Platforms in my allied detachment. These are very similar to Hydra Flak Tanks - cheaper, but immobile and AV 10. They also have skyfire and interceptor, which I cannot seem to find on the Hydra Flak Tank entry though I imagine it should have it, and the auto-targeting special ability.

If this list works out, I plan to cut it down to 1650 for the tournament I will be playing in. But for now, it's a bit bigger so I can try a bit more stuff.

Army Composition: 1650 points, Codex: Orks w/ Codex: Imperial Guard allies, Forgeworld Permitted, Competitive.
Army Points: 1854/1850
Will cut 4pts in the morning!

HQ
2x SAG Mek - 236
-Big Mek, Shokk Attak Gun, Big Choppa Cybork, Bosspole, Ammo Runt

Elites

2x Loota Mob - 270
-9 Lootas

Troops

3x Shoota Mobs - 450
-20 Shoota Boys, Big Shoota, Nob Upgrade w/ Big Shoota, Big Choppa, Bosspole

1x Gretchin Mob - 67
-19 Grots and a Runtherd

Heavy Support
2x Supa-Trakk - 260
-Big Trakk, Supa-Kannon, 'ard case

1x Big Guns - 108
-3 Zapp Gun, 6 Extra Krew, 3 Ammo Runts

Fortification

1x Aegis Defense Line - 85
-Lascannon Upgrade

Allied Detachment - "Looted Guard"
Command Squad - 110
-Officer of the Fleet
-Master of Ordinance

Guardsman Marbo - 65

Veteran Squad - 90
-Lascannon Upgrade

Imperial Support Weapons Platforms - 150
-3x Hydra Autocannon Platforms

Allied Detachment Total: 445

Strategy: Set up an enormous gunline. The Command Squad hides out of the way somewhere and works it's Officer of the Fleet/Master of Ordinance shenanigans. Guardsman Marbo appears where he's least expected and puts a demolition charge on a fat, juicy piece of artillery. Big Meks alternatively join the Zapp Gun unit and the units of Lootas - the former lets them enjoy some ammo runt re-rolls as needed, and if the latter, they can help keep the Lootas in line with their bosspoles. The Zapp Gun extra krew man the Aegis lascannon and use ammo runt re-rolls. My Grot blob will camp an objective, but are also backup lascannon gunners as needed.

Thoughts? Also, what would you remove from here to free up 204 points?

Overall the list looks good.

I could be tempted to tool the veterans up for a closer shooty role with melta of plasmaguns; just so you have some reliable AP2 goodness. It could be an idea to try and punt some chimeras into the mix for the CCS and the veterans, to get more ranged mid strength weapons, help block LoS to your gunline (the ADL isn't long enough!) and you could potentially go with some hull heavy flamers to force multiple saves on neaqrby assaulty units.

The zapp guns would get less attention and would be more reliable if they were downgraded to kannon, and save you a few points.

I think the Hydra autocannon battery has to fire or intercept fire a single target. Bearing that in mind it may be an idea to use the quad gun on the ADL and cut out a single model from the hydra battery.

As to cutting pts, the officer of the fleet needs to stay if you are facing flyer spam (he's the chap that makes it harder for them to come on if I remember correctly, if he is not ditch him!)
Savings:
A handfull of grots from the gretchin mob.
Lose a shokk attack gun for a forcefield.
I would prefer to have the Supatrakks opened topped so that they are assault vehicles, so possibly a little saving here.
Drop some orks from a unit and get rid of some of the nobz upgrades.

OK

Lootas are just too good to ever take less than 3 squads.
You should get rid of your nobs and possibly big shoots and just max out your boyz.
The Icarus lascannon is pretty useless with no twinklinking, use the quad-gun.

Please tell me your modelling the allied guard as rebel grots. Not a big list aficionado but I'd definitely drop the lascannon on the defence line and replace with a quad gun. Much more reliable and useful!

I can't speak to the Ork side of the list with great authority. I tend to kill them, not play them Still...

Can a Big Mek take a Big Choppa as an upgrade? And whats the point of the Ammo runt with SAG?
Drop the Gretchen Mob. Have the CCS fire the ADL Quad Gun. Be sure and have them order themselves to twin-link or re-roll cover saves
Switch the ILC on the ADL to a Quad gun
Drop the Big Gunz unit. The IG are simply better shooters than almost anything the Orks have (SAG and Lootas are the notable exceptions here)
Add a Las Cannon to the CCS
Drop Marbo. I love him, but he does not fit your theme or battle plan.
Add 3x Plasma to the Vets

My version is about 40 points over 1650. Maybe fiddle with some of the options on the Big Mek, Boyz, or Big Trakks.
