I am loving the the paintjob and the weathering is nice. The worn metal is also nice. But personally I am not a fan of the marbling/Lightning looking effect on the base. But I like just a plain base personally.

Same, not a big fan of the base. Just a personal preference. Great looking model, love the paint job.

Painting a marble effect is really hard. I think your's is better than most. It's a really ambitious project. (I know, I've tried it on my thunder hammers.) Normally, I skim over posts with Death Guard, since I find them to be visually boring. This one is really nice. I also tend to be really derisive towards contemptor dreads, and again, this one looks pretty good. Like a gas station hot dog, this model is surprisingly tasty.

Nice work Its well executed and characterful. My only criticism is that the white veins on the base are possibly a wee bit too bright and that can draw attention away from the hard work you've put into the miniature.

I'm going to have to chime in with the naysayers about the base. It kind of detracts from the grittiness of the model itself. Not that it's not done well, it just doesn't work where it's being used.
Great painting on the actual Dreadnought, though. Very gritty, dirty, and simplistic.
