Has anyone used it? I'm not very enthused about GWs fine-fibre snow flock and I'm looking for one that's more along the powder.flake line... I've had Woodland Scenics recommended to me a couple of times, but since AP's snow is pretty decently priced and I can get it from my online store of choice, I thought I'd find out more about it.

Is it a powder? How fine is it? Are there any problems with it?

I think the best I've seen is that sold by Secret Weapon. The fact that it's crushed glass freaks me out though. I'm interested he hear people's opinions on this. I've been using baking soda, which is good enough I suppose. I just wonder if one of the flocks are worth it.

I have some, and it is very fine. Not as powdery. But I still use it mixed in with some glue. I think the best for the value is woodland scenics, but there is still a lot of the army painter snow. And it's pretty cheap.

Nice, cheers. It sounds like it's exactly what I'm looking for. I'm putting in an order of AP stuff so I'll add a pot of snow to it and check it out.

Yeah, crushed glass does look amazing, but I really don't want to be killed by my hobby scenics. As pros and cons of materials go, "potential agonizing death if you happen to breathe any in" is a pretty big con in my book. Pretty metal, admittedly, but kind of a drawback.

Yeah, Army Painter snow is great! Be sure to mix it with the right amount of PVA/white glue, or it'll look dry and sandy. About 1/2-1/2, with a little water, is what I used on this figure:
