I'm confused about how dedicated transport and must come from reserve works.

Say a drop pod, it must come from reserve correct?
But the unit it comes with doesn't, so how does this work?
Say I have 10 units in total, 4 drop pods, 4 units in drop pods and 2 units that need to be deployed normally.

So in this case can I reserve 8 units in reserve or not?

nvm, just went through the FAQ and found this:
Q: Do units that are transported in a vehicle that MUST start in
reserve count towards the number of units that can be placed in
Reserves? For example, must I count the units in a Drop Pod or
Valkyrie towards the 50% of units I can place in Reserves? (p124)
A: No.

Check the Deep Strike rules, they cover units that must Deep Strike and their contents.

The FaQ covers Flyers and their contents.

It covers drop pods too which is what I wanted, so thanks anyway

Right. The main rulebook Deep Strike rules originally only covered Drop Pods, basically, so they added the FAQ which covers all transports which must start in Reserve.
