Here is the first batch of mini's I've painted from the starter kit of flames of war (something not usually seen on here!). Painting at 15mm scale seems to focus much more on atmosphere and overall style than individual model quality because of the tiny size. For that reason I am looking for some feedback on whether or not the German yellow w/dead static grass combo looks good, or just repetitive. I was trying to make the Germans look "evil". Should I switch to green grass with a lighter dirt color? You can also see on the Stug where I applied too much varnish - I'm still experimenting on that front. It's not so obvious in person.
