I had a thread up on here the other day about this list but ive made a few changes which i think will be fun to play when i get the chance next.

Hq: canis wolfborn

TROOPS:
10 greyhunters with 2 plasma guns

10 greyhunters with 2 plasma guns

ELITES:
Dreadnaught with heavy flamer and assault cannon

Dreadnaught with heavy flamer and plasma cannon

FAST ATTACK:
4 thunder wolves
2 melta bombs*(might swap for a huner killer for the vindicator)

10 skyclaws

HEAVY SUPPORT:
vindicator.

I had the choice of a squad of 5 long fangs with 2 hvy bolters and 2 plasma cannons but i took the second dreadnaught as this army moves alot in the opening turns so i wanted my support to move with them.

Any and all thoughts and ideas are welcome i have until the 25th of this month to get to grips with this army!

The main problem I see is the lack of Metal Bawkses/drop pods. The army can be scary but a lot of it is going to get shot to pieces before it arrives.

I'd recommended looking at some drop pods or rhinos. Footslogging those marines will have you dead before you get there (especially given the short range of most of your weapons).

I'm worried about dealing with Anti-tank at distance. Some Las cannons could really hurt you (And they outrange you). You only have a few anti-AV14 weapons, and all are 24" or less in range.

Overall, I think you need some way to provide your Troops more protection (drop pods/rhinos/razorbacks) and some anti-tank at distance (some MLs or LCs or something).

Why the Vindicator? Your troops try to get close and you want to fire large blasts towards enemy, right next to your own HQ.

If you insist, take it but just be careful. Better option would be Lascannons on LF's for AT. And HK is a waste of points. 10p for 1/3 chance of miss and even with hit it won't do much.

Yeah the main reason i have it foot slogging is because i wont be able to finish the three drop pods in time for the tournament next saturday. Unless i ditch one of the 'naughts for the long fangs? It does then mean however that my lobg fangs wont really be moving alot to support my greyhunters. Undecided at the moment

Well, if you play it correctly and don't take stupid risks I believe it will work

And other option for AT is to give one or two dreads MM

What is the point of taking canus wolfborn? Why not just take a thunderwolf lord instead? They cost about the same, but the wolf lord is better.

I don't think you have enough troops, but as your tournament is Saturday it's probably too late to change that.

Canis Wolfborn is sub-par. For the same points you can take a Wolf Lord who will do a lot more damage. Or you can save some points and just take a Wolf Guard Battle Leader.

You need more troops. I'd never take less than 3 units of Grey Hunters. They also need a way to get to where they are going. Without Wolf Guard or IC you definitely need them in a Rhino or Drop Pod.

I wouldn't bother with Melta Bombs on the Thunderwolves. 6 Rending attacks a piece likely means whatever you hit is dead regardless.

Vindicators need to be run in pairs. It will be the target of every single heavy weapon the enemy brings. I'd take your Long Fangs over the Vindicator. They'll survive longer.

11 days is not that long to get ready. But definitely do something about your Troops. They are what win you games in 6th edition. They don't have a lot of support in this list and since they are on foot they have almost no choice but to run straight at an objective. What sucks is that since you only have 2 Troops, that means the enemy only has to worry about 1 unit of Grey Hunters really in order to win.
