Just got back into 40K after 16 years and i'm looking for patient types in the area who can help me get up to speed + a few beers. I have about 1500 pts IG modelled will be painted as soon as a I can build up the courage, it has been 16 years after all! Any recomendations (websites etc) will be greatly appreciated.

Warhammer World is good - I'd massively recommend it. Good tables and a bar make the best games

Am also fairly new and looking for a club in birmingham, I'm in smiths wood.. the north east side of solihull.. let me know how you get on. I went into gw birmingham last week and had to leave when the fact that i was more than twice the age of the teenage players bore into me :-)

Don't know of any central based clubs unfortunately. I'm about to move to the city centre myself, but I end up doing most of my gaming at either friends' houses, generally in Stourbridge, or at Titan Wargames (run by ex GW Sutton Coldfield staff) up in Lichfield.
Apparently there's another FLGS (affiliated with Titan) opening fairly soon in Stourbridge, again being run by ex-GW staff.
GW brum, unfortunately is full of children, which as I'm 30, means I have the same issues
