Hey guys,

With the 3rd edition D-Day books coming up I thought it would be pretty cool to run a campaign covering the invation of normandy and then the following weeks after.
However I am a little stumped on how to do the beaches. I was thinking polystyrene tiles and using thicker sheets for the main land.

Some one must have had a go at doing this any ideas would be awesome!

Easiest way is a 6ft long and 1foot wide piece of Sand coloured Cloth.

Then if you want Water a 6ft long 6 inch wide piece of Blue Cloth.

Done.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

I've heard of people using the drop ceiling panels that cover lights for the water (technical terms, nechnical terms). They are pretty cheap (about $5-10), readily available at the hardware store, cut decently (if you go slow), and they take paint fairly well. You can paint a gradient... even leaving the shallowest water transparent and run your beach underneath the edge.
