So, I've been trying to get my airbrush setup and all has gone well so far, except that there is massive leakage at the fittings for the compressor hose and my airbrush hose. I can't seem to figure out how to fix the issue. The compressor is a Blue Hawk 2gal 100psi compressor and my air hose is a 6 foot air hose with 1/4" x 1/8" Iwata fittings. It's fine at the brush but the compressor hose joint is just spewing air out all over.

Help me, Dakka, you're my only hope!

And I've been googling it for hours but to no avail, strangely.

Probably incompatible threads. You can try wrapping the threads with Teflon thread tape but if its as bad as you say the only solution that will actually fix it is getting a hose with the right threads or an adapter.

Definatly need some teflon (aka ptfe) tape around those threads... I would encourage a turn of tape even on joints that appear fine
If disconnecting and reconnecting the hose is something you might do often, to save on re-applying the tape everytime look at quick release couplings, theyre ace, especially if you use multiple air tools or what have you, or have to pack away nice and idy due to lack of space, as screwing and unscrewing the threads will only increase the risk of crossing the threads where a quick coupling will be great for a long time.

'Ain't nothing crazy about me but my brain. Right brain? Riight! No not you right brain! Right left brain? Right!... Okay then lets do this!!

Sounds good guys, I'm off to the store to grab some tape! Thanks for the help, hopefully this works out and I'll definitely look into those quick connect fittings, as I use multiple airbrushes.

In case you are not aware, make sure to wrap the teflon tape in the same direction as the threads and be sure not to get some over the opening where it could potentially enter the air flow in the hose.
