Hey hows it going guys. While finishing up my Elysians I am already looking forward to starting my second army of 40k to mix things up and to try new things. I was origionally set on building a Battlesuit/Farsight Tau list as I love the battlesuits looks and abilities, however a crazy part of me feels the need to play a crazy army . I have always been a fan of Da Orks and their shinanigans, however I am pretty ignorant as to what would be a competitive list with them in 6th edition, I only ask this as my store is very competitive so I need to meet the standards if I want to win any games. Basically am looking for some advice on the following lists as I have seen or heard about them:
-Burna-Trukk Army: Basically spamming burna boyz (think there is a way to make them troops) and packing them in trukks to go screaming towards the enemy shooting flaming goodness!
-Battleship List: The Lootas in Battlewagon surrounded by Green Tide list, basically form a wall of 14 and march forward going dakkadakkadakka the whole way!
-Nob Spam: Pack as many nobz into a list.
As you can see my experience and info on the Greenskins is limited, there is a very good player at my store who runs a good balanced list with Trukks and flyers but I am wanting something a little different. If anyone could give me some advice and tips on some lists including the ones above I would appreciate it. Who knows, if they are crazy enough it may make me move away from creating a Tau army so do you best, thanks guys!

"Listen closely Brothers, for my life's breath is all but spent. There shall come a time far from now when our Chapter itself is dying, even as I am now dying, and our foes shall gather to destroy us. Then my children, I shall listen for your call in whatever realm of death holds me, and come I shall, no matter what the laws of life and death forbid. At the end I will be there. For the final battle. For the Wolftime."Leman Russ |

My list used to do pretty well it had a couple battle wagons with shoota boys, 2 dakka jets with the fixins, 5 meganobs in truk, 2x 10 lootas, some more shoota boys depending on the points level, aegis with quad gun and some grots to man it, mega armored warboss, weird boy with warphead I might be forgetting a few things. Anyways after the tau release I really need to go back to the drawing board and start from scratch so not sure if any of this helps. Things I am thinking of are more meganobs or lots more boys (the lots more boys thing might turn me to another army as I don't have as much fun when I spend to much time just on movement and seperating out all the hits and misses from tons of dice it just makes the game go to long).

What i found works are 1. a good squad of boyz led by a warboss or possibly 2 . 2. a nice big unit of squishy gretchin, to hold up their elites, 3. lootas. 4. a nob squad full to the teef with powerklaws and a really cheapy truck to get them into assault asap. Obviously you will need more than that to make a good flexible list but that will have to be decided by you as you know what kind of competition your going up against.

Dread Mob can take dedicated scrap trukk transports for their Burna boys. Otherwise your going to have a bunch of sad, tiny boys mobs lurking around the back of the field in order to take the trukks you need.
I was considering the "battleship list" myself today. Chuck a Mega Armoured Warboss in there too so the Lootas have slow and purposeful and so don't have to snap shot at low speed. Then swap some Lootas for Meks so the Battlewagon self repairs.
But honestly, there isn't that much of a reason to put Lootas in there in the first place - they'll be more durable in area terrain, heaps of them will die when the Battlewagon explodes (which it will do in every game with the shittiness of vehicles these days) and they certainly don't need to get close to the enermy to do more damage. On the other hand, it would certainly be cool, definitely something of a land battleship (I am *so* going to model that gak now), and maybe several of them under a forcefield bubble or concealed by trukks and what not would be durable enough to make it worthwhile.
Have you considered perhaps Tankbustas instead? They benefit greatly from getting up close, and while the rokkit launchas are underwhelming, tankhammers + boarding planks are death incarnate, and bomb squigs are a great option too, plus when they get out they get S6 meltabombs to stomp face with. Considering that the main weakness of Orks is their anti-tank, this could be a good choice.
"Bad Boys" lists are another option I've looked into, because I hate having a high model count. Biker Nobs can be fantastic, Mega Nobs are apparantly great but I've never really used them, vanilla Nobs are only any good as a PK/painboy delivery system and I don't really know if they're worth it.

Lootas, Battlewagons with deffrollas, Nobz, either in the wagon or on a bike and Dakkajets are all awesome. + one of the best troop choices in the game!
And how about an aegis defense line with quad cannon, manned by a group of 10 gretchin. let them shoot with their bs3 and camp an objective at the same time!

I dont know how they are doing burna trukks? You can no make them troops (they are elites) and you can not give them a dedicated transport, so they can not start the game in a trukk and would need to start in a BW (a better option anyway).
Regardless, BW with deffrollas, lots of boyz (I prefer with a nob, pk, bp as well in each mob), nob bikers, KFF, Lootas, Dakka Jets, Kannons (artillery pieces, not the BW upgrade), Warbosses and Mega Nobz are all good units.

Dread Mob Burna Boys can take a dedicated transport. Their lootas can take a looted wagon as well - Dread Mob does lots of common sense stuff like that.
Also, I'm not sure I agree with all the Battlewagon love. They're very cool for sure, but its a rare sight indeed to see one, even with 'ard case, survive a single fething lascannon shot without blowing up and killing 50% of the dudes inside.
