Veteran Wolf Guard Squad Leader

I've always had a soft spot for Chaos, specifically Nurgle. With two brand new Codexes out I'm trying to put together an army list that is effective before I really consider starting a collection in another army. I've got a lot of Space Wolves and some work left to do painting them, so I'm in no rush on this. I want to make sure I have a plan before I start buying models! Here's what I've been thinking:
PRIMARY DETACHMENT
HEADQUARTERS
Chaos Lord - 185 Points
1 Chaos Lord w/ Power Armour, Power Sword, Power Axe, Frag Grenades, Krak Grenades, Blight Grenades, Sigil of Corruption, Ichor Blood, Mark of Nurgle, Palanquin of Nurgle
TROOPS
Plague Marines - 208 Points
1 Plague Champion w/ Power Armour, Combi-Plasma, Bolt Pistol, Blight Grenades, Krak Grenades
2 Plague Marines w/ Power Armour, Plasma Gun, Bolt Pistol, Plague Knife, Blight Grenades, Krak Grenades
4 Plague Marines w/ Power Armour, Boltgun, Bolt Pistol, Plague Knife, Blight Grenades, Krak Grenades
Plague Marines - 208 Points

HEAVY SUPPORT
Obliterators - 228 Points
3 Obliterators w/ Fleshmetal, Power Fist, Mark of Nurgle
Obliterators - 228 Points

POINTS: 1057 Points
ALLIED DETACHMENT
HEADQUARTERS
Great Unclean One - 270 points
1 Great Unclean One w/ Exalted Reward (Eternal Blade), Psychic Mastery Level 3
TROOPS
Plaguebearers of Nurgle - 171 points
1 Plagueridden w/ Plaguesword, Lesser Reward (Etherblade)

1 Plaguebearer w/ Plaguesword, Plague Banner
11 Plaguebearer w/ Plaguesword
Nurglings - 105 points
7 Nurgling Swarms
ELITE
Beast of Nurgle - 52 Points
1 Beast of Nurgle
FAST ATTACK
Plague Drones of Nurgle - 191 Points
1 Plaguebringer w/ Plaguesword, Lesser Reward (Etherblade)
1 Plague Drone w/ Plaguesword, Instrument of Chaos
1 Plague Drone w/ Plaguesword, Plague Banner
TOTAL: 789 Points
GRAND TOTAL: 1846 Points
BASIC STRATEGY:
1. Obliterators, Plaguebearers, Great Unclean One, and Plague Drones enter play via Deep Strike.
2. Nurglings will Infilitrate.
3. Beast of Nurgle and the unit of Plague Marines led by my Chaos Lord use cover to advance.
4. Remaining Plague Marines stand watch on an Objective in my Deployment Zone.
5. When rolling for reserves, I'll roll for the Plaguebearers and Plague Drones first. Between both units needing a 3+ to come in it is something like an 89% chance I'm going to get one of them.
6. Most likely, one of my units with an Instrument of Chaos comes in on Turn 2 via Deep Strike. I can use the Instrument of Chaos to pull in any friendly unit with the Daemon special rule. It doesn't say anything about the unit having to be from Codex: Chaos Daemons, so that means I can pull in one of my Obliterator units guaranteed, or the Great Unclean One. Whichever I need.
Better still, if my the first unit I roll for comes in, I can pull in the other unit with an Instrument of Chaos, which can then pull in a unit of Obliterators. Or I can just gamble that I'll roll both my Plaguebearers and Plague Drones in and pull both Obliterators in.
And since I have Plague Banners, they are Icons of Chaos meaning if I Deep Strike within 6" of it, even on the turn it arrived from Deep Strike, I don't scatter.
7. The Great Unclean One will Deep Strike in and upset something greatly. With Psyker Mastery Level 3, I should be able to get Iron Arm for sure. The 1-3 extra Strength and Toughness (and most importantly, Eternal Warrior) thrown on top of the natural 6 Strength and 7 Toughness and 6 Wounds is a fun thought. The Eternal Blade gives me another +1 Strength, and Gloryseeker gives 1-3 bonus Weapon Skill, Initiative and Attacks to boost my 6 Weapon Skill, 4 Initiative and 5 Attacks. Being AP2, this guy is terrifying. I can throw him at anything and expect him to either win or tie it up forever.
8. Depending on the enemy, my Plague Drones (being Jet Cavalry!) may deploy on the board to haul towards an objective to be a beacon for my Reserves on Turn 2.
INITIAL THOUGHTS/CONCERNS:
1. It's obvious. Flyers! I feel that to be competitive in any way I have to take one Helldrake minimum. I also feel this is lame, but its the game so best play it. I'm not sure where to get the 140 points from. I'd rather not lose any of the Allied Detachment as I love how I'm taking a bit of everything and none of it is actually useless.
2. If I could find the points, some Flying Daemon Princes would be welcome. I'd rather not ditch the Great Unclean One if I can avoid it, and since he makes Daemon Princes a Heavy Support choice (when they take a Mark of Nurgle) I still have the FOC slot for 1 in my Allied Detachment on top of the 1 in my Primary Detachment.
3. Plague Marines are expensive. While its not as hardcore Nurgle, may have to ditch them for regular Chaos Space Marines...
4. Chaos Lord on a Bike with mark of Nurgle would be slightly cheaper and better when looked at in a vacuum. Since I don't have Chaos Bikers however, I may as well use the Palanquin. Still, I feel a Palanquin would be better served on a Sorcerer. My only problem there is I need the Chaos Lord to take the Plague Marines.
5. Relying on Deep Strike to, well, strike deep into enemy lines sucks against Grey Knights. I'll probably have to just suck it up and expect to walk the whole way across.
So, what do you think? How would you address the concerns I already have and what concerns would you have playing (as/against) this list? Feedback from players who have been playing Chaos Space Marines and Daemons in 6th edition highly sought after, but opinion of all welcome and useful! Automatically Appended Next Post: More Thought:
- Dropping the extra Plague Marines and the Combi-Plasmas frees up 116 points; leaving me 120 points to play with
- Dropping the Palanquin for a Bike frees up another 20.
- Chaos Spawn w/ Mark of Nurgle costs 36 points a piece for 3 Wounds at Toughness 6 and D6+1 Attacks, but has no Armor Save unless I get lulcky on the Mutation table.
