Missionary On A Mission

Hi there,
this might sound like a stupid question but i was flicking through the 6th edition updates to the space marines on GW and i found something interesting:
Q: Some space marine squads can take a Razorback as a dedicated transport. A razorback has a transport capacity of siz models. Can you still choose this as a dedicated transport for a squad with more than six models? (p77)
A: Yes
source: http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m3180059a_Space_Marines_v1.3_APRIL13.pdf
So i checked my Codex and it only says a capacity of six (6) models. So is the transport capcaity of a razorback now more than six (6) or has GW stuffed up with their FAQ's?

It means you can take a razorback for any size squad, 5-6 you can fit the lot in, 10 you can combat squad them and put 5 in, the capacity is still 6.

You're not forced to put the unit in its transport. You can deploy it separately and run it alone or even embark a different unit once the battle's started.
Taking Rhinos for things like Devastators etc is a good way to get a cheap mobile wall of cover.

Unless specified in the unit's codex entry, there is no requirement that a unit must fit in their dedicated transport.

Or you could take a ten man squad with a razorback and not have them get in until some of them are dead. Using marines as mobile cover for razorbacks isn't the worst idea in the world.

Also allows you to combat squad your 10 man teams into two 5 man units then attach an IC to each and still fit in your razorback.

*Or elsewhere in the codex. For example, in the Dark Eldar codex, they kind of hid the restriction in the Dedicated Transports section.

A much better title would have been "Razorback weirdness" or the like. The point of a title in a forum post is to let the members know what this deals with. Titles like yours provide no information, nerf the already weak search function, and will tend to draw fewer views. My friendly advice: if you want people to see and respond to your threads on a forum: give them a title that helps people knowledgeable on a topic find your post.

As others pointed out, no it does not increase the transport capacity of the razorback.
However, it does allow you to take a 10 man tac squad, combat squad them and place an independent character with 5 marines in the razorback.
Also, like Lobukia said, please use better titles.

Or just spend the points for the Razorback and use it as a firepower base to add AT or anti infantry abbility to a army for lower points cost.
