So here is my DV Librarian that I've been working at this week; (Sorry about the pics... I'm not that great with a camera, I'm pleased theyre as clear as they are hehe)

The colours are to go with my purple Dark Angels, they have purple power armour with yellow shoulder trim and weapon casings. Bone white Deathwing with yellow weapon cases and purple detailing. Black Ravenwing vehicles with purple riders and operators.

I'm at roughly 90% completed with this guy and have put in more hours than I care to count
My question is this; What do you think to the overall paint job? is something letting him down that I could remedy? Any tips/suggestions that might make it better? Want to know how I did any of it?
Any comments/critique/criticism is greatly appreciated thanks in advance for those who have something to say

thanks for the positive comments guys means a lot.
I am quite happy with him, he's likely going to be the best looking of the collection at this point

Its a shame it would be a bit unrealistic to put this much efort into every guy, as I've put in between 1 and 3 hours on him everyday this week. Working on my speed would definatly be a place i could improve

The cloak's shadowing was done with
zandri dust base coat,
then agrax earth shade wash all over,
then layering up ushabti bone
and another all over wash of seraphim sepia,
then another layer of ushabti bone, then a 50-50 mix of ushabti bone and screaming skull.
then a careful wash with agrax earthshade in the deepest recesses only.
then a final thin highlight layer of screaming skull.
the toughest bit is not gumming up the detail of the purple line with all those layers
Am a little dissapointed with the loincloth section being much darker than the rest... a little too much agrax perhaps.

So Ive finished this guy up, assembled him and I thought I'd show you... not much more was done painting wise but being assembled makes a bit of a difference

Again sorry for any blurryness in the pics, Im really struggling to get a good shot, need to look at timer settings on my camera perhaps, feel like a tripod would be useful too.

Looks great from what I can tell from the fuzzy+bright pics, I preferred the WIP ones, it showed off a lot more detail x/

Hmmm the WIP shot was a bit more zoomed out, which is probably why im stuggling to keep the focus.... shame as if i could get the focus right there would be much more detail in the close up shot :/ I'l have another go at it, recently done some deathwing knights up too... might try photographing those too while I'm at it.

thanks for the comments, The purple is the main colour of the army... allthough it may not immediatly seem it on my shelf as theres a fair bunch of deathwing and ravenwing in there... approximatly equal amounts of each wing by the time ive got them all built and painted up.
