Made the netting by striping away all the plaster fibers from casting bandage, leaving only the net inside.
Then i dipped it in water mixed with wood glue leaving me a netting that would stiffen after a few hours.

Looking really good! As for your tank, the Leman Russ is a default, being detestably the best tank in 40k, and the backbone of the Imperial Guard. Although if you are playing DKoK, I know there is a limitation on which tanks they can take, but I'm not sure of them off the top of my head. I'd say start with a standard main battle tank.

Death Korps of Krieg, FW models ;D And, these look good if they are your first 40k army! Love the choice of colours, very grimdark, but I never figured the Guard for a 'ghille in the mist' approach, still looking *awesome* though!!

Thx for the nice feedback
Yea I really like the look of these models (and i got some second-hand for a nice price, btw striping paint from Forgeworld is a pain... Some cheap quality resin they are using...
Well here is part of the HQ squad, not sure about the commanders sword, Maybe I will change it

Really impressive for a first army
Have you considered starting a thread in the Painting and Modelling Blog section? That way you can document your progress as you go along and not just be tied to posting images of completed miniatures.

These are mighty fine, if I may say so, sir! You have really captured the gritty, rugged essence of the DKoK. As for tanks, the Leman Russ is the standard tank. Forge World's tanks are perfect for Krieg, especially the malcador http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Imperial_Guard/Imperial_Guard_Super_Heavy_Tanks/MALCADOR-WITH-BATTLECANNON____.html and the macharius http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Imperial_Guard/Imperial_Guard_Super_Heavy_Tanks/IMPERIAL-MACHARIUS-HEAVY-TANK.html These may be a bit expensive for a starter... then again you do have Krieg! Good luck with the rest of the army and keep up the good work! P.s. Your snipers look amazing

Imperial guard: Because quantity has a quality of it's own.
Sisters of Battle can be used in any game, with the exception of chess, Monopoly and of course, Warhammer 40,000.
After 8 editions, you might have thought that GW could get fantasy right. |

I have plans to do a DKoK force for my first IG Army now after seeing this, this is a good inspiration. Love your army! Btw...that netting effect is just great. What a creative idea.
