Subject: [Eldar] Crystal Seers and a Farseers transformation

Needed a quick bit of extra info before I start my project.
I've been reading a bit about Eldar lore, particularly Farseers before I started painting. I read that as a Farseer ages, presumably nearing or surpassing their 10k year mark or longer(?), they slowly begin to transform into crystal as their minds and bodies become attuned to their craftworld's infinity circuit. To represent this, I was thinking of starting a project and painting my Farseer as halfway into this transformation, doing an arm or part of their torso as faded to crystal.
Have there been any novels that had an account of this process? I originally wanted to modify the model with some Greenstuff to kind of meld the farseers Left hand into their spear, merging them both with hard geometric faces then painting is a crystal blue color. But, I think instead I am going to go for a more natural conversion, as if their body and armor are turning into crystal. Still usable as an arm before she turns completely into a crystal statue. Kind of a living crystal arm.
BUt, since it's a fluffy conversion and painting, I want to make sure I don't go against current lore or anything like that. Any Eldar buffs have some info for me?
Thanks in advance!

I think I remember the Farseer in the book Shadow Point reflecting on the stiffening flesh in his hands, and how he didn't have much longer till his crystal statue would be joining the crystal trees growing in the Grove of the Seer or something like that...
I would assume that only his body would begin turning to crystal, and not his armor or gear. Must be freaky to be in that grove...lots of see-through naked eldar standing around...

It is a place of calm and reverence, where the living come to pay homage to the deceased. It is within the Dome that the contents of the Spirit Stones of deceased Eldar are added to the gestalt spiritual reality of the Infinity Circuit, and it is there that the Spiritseers commune with the deceased and entreat them to empower the Wraithguard and Wraithlord combat walkers when the need arises. Farseers often meditate within the Dome of the Crystal Seers and attempt to divine the future, protected in body and mind by their many forebears within the Infinity Circuit and represented by the crystalline statues that are prevalent throughout the Dome. When a Farseer reaches an extreme old age, his or her mind becomes more and more closely aligned with the Inifnity Circuit and their bodies become dormant, slowly transmuting into an unknown form of psychically resonant crystal. When they ultimately die, their soul finally merges with the Infinity Circuit, casting off their crystalline shell and leaving it behind. These crystal statues, which are essentially the remains of past Farseers, are left undisturbed to adorn this sanctum, and it is from their presence that the name of the Dome is derived. Thats all I can remember - there may be something in 'Path of the Seer', but I wouldn't recommend reading that. Unless you REALLY like eldar.

Ordinance is a local law, or bill, or other form of legislation.

I swear that somewhere I read that the Farseers, as they become crystal, pose as trees. They grow into a tree like form and the spirit stones of the other Eldar are hung from them like fruit.
I have no idea where I saw/heard that.

Thanks for the replies all, appreciated.
Follow up question: Why has Eldrad not crystalized? I *Assume* he's the oldest and most revered seer, why has he yet to become crystal?
Perhaps seers have mental control over whether or not they become crystals.

I'm sorry, Eldrad isn't in his own body at the moment and will call right back as soon as he becomes available... IIRC, He gave loads of his created spirit stones out during the last black crusade. Then he left his own body and went into the heart of abaddons blackstone fortress and pit his spirit against it. All but a handful of his waystones have fallen dark. He's not dead, but he might not be alive either.
