Hi All
I have a quick question and I have not been able to find something on the thread! I am looking for really realistic blood techniques. For quite some time I have been searching on the web for a good recipe on blood and gore. Is there someone out there who could help? Also pictures would be great if you have them!

I am looking for really realistic wet and dry blood and gore!

Cheers All

Andy

Best I've ever seen was Tamiya Clear Red (google some pics) + Rice bubbles. They sealed it after obviously, but not sure how that would work long term.

Edit: A tutorial on it http://massivevoodoo.blogspot.com.au/2010/05/tutorial-how-to-paint-blood.html

Yep that's the way to go and how I do it. You could also use Minitaire candies, or probably even make your own with red paint, matt medium to make it transparent and then gloss varnish it for a wet look.

I use khorne red with corn flour, leave it to dry over night then ardcoat when fully dry, seems to do the trick in my eyes.

depends on what you are aiming for.... I went for a dried blood colour, and in the process ended up getting paint everywhere on my hands (yay basecoating by hand when drunk). The models looked good, but for a day and a half I had people exceedingly concerned and asking my why there was blood on my hands, so, i must have picked the right shades of brown and red.....

It doesn't matter how bloody far the apple falls from the tree. If the apple fell off of a Granny Smith, that apple is going to grow into a Granny bloody Smith. The only difference is whether that apple grows in the shade of the tree it fell from.
