So hi everyone ! My main big question is the following one: if you start at 1k, do you go for a Greater Daemon or for Heralds ? Here's my actual list

Bloodthirster (250)
Total: 250

Bloodletters x15 (150): Bloodreaper (5), Icon of Chaos (10), Banner of Blood (10)
Total: 175

Plaguebearers x20 (180): Plagueridden (5), Icon (10), Plague Banner (10),
Total: 205

Plaguebearers x20 (180): Plagueridden (5), Icon (10), Plague Banner (10),
Total: 205

Soul Grinder (135): Khorne (0), Phlegm bombardment (30)
Total: 165

Total: 1000

Comment and advices are welcomed,

Personally, and this is from a casual perspective, I think the impact of a big gribbly at a low points value versus the force multiplication and flexibility of the heralds is a wash.

However, I would trim a few models from each of your troops choices in order to afford some gifts, a couple of greaters on the Thirster are almost compulsory, there's no real bad options, and if you were feeling cheeky you could lob a few on the squad leaders too.

Would you say the same for a Slaanshi mono list? I've found that the Keeper is too slow to make as big an impact in a small game, but Heralds of Slaanesh add heaps for my Daemonettes.

Daemons live or die by their FMC spam. Although Tzeentch pink horrors and heralds are quite good.

Assuming your not talking to me then? As Slaaneshi mono daemons have a Greater Daemon that cannot fly. I suppose I could put in a Daemon Prince or two, but then I'm relying on only a couple of models and very few scoring troops.

No, OP, obviously. Slaaneshi armies need their heralds, to buff their seekers with grimoire.

Too many upgrades on these units. Lose the Icons on all three units. The Plagues are reallylackluster imo - I would swap them for Horrors/Daemonettes/Bloodletters. They are slow.

A FMC can be huge in a small game, but they are a gamble. I like the concept of Heralds at this level - 1 Tzeentch for Divination buffs, then according to your other unit. Karanak is an awesome one to add to crushers.

I think this list as it stands will just get shot to little pieces and then assaulted out of the game through Instability.

Having recently been a part of a 1k league, where you can change your list on a game to game basis, I've been getting a lot of experience with the 1k building scheme. Here is a list that I have built and used to great effect:

Mono Khorne 1k
Bloodthirster w/ Greaterx2, Lesser
Herald of Khorne, Jugger, Greater
16 Bloodletters
16 Bloodletters
7 Flesh Hounds
8 Flesh Hounds

The speed and hitting power of this list is fantastic. Yes, it is light on the troops, but with the thirster and hounds pushing forward, they will likely destroy the opponent on his objectives and let you claim yours. If you want more tactics, just PM me.

For the OP, what exactly do you have in terms of models so we can help you with your list?

Also, at 1k, I wouldn't run blocks of plague bearers. Unless I was running mono-nurgle, I don't think I'd run blocks of PBs ever. 2 naked squads of 10 is good enough for any list to just sit back and objective camp.
