Any current standing fluff that discusses the use of the Death Korps as inquisitorial henchman or part of a warband? Would it be considered a high honor for a Kriegsman to be conscripted?

Krieg! What a hole...

First part: no, the closest to that is the Siege of Vraks where the Ordo Malleus help the DKoK destroy the Chaotic forces. Interesting fact: the Grey Knights left the Kriegsmen alive at the end of the Siege.

Second part: if the Inquisitor takes time to read up the history of Krieg, he can easily sweet talk the Kriegsmen into beleiving its a great honor.

Generally speaking, Inquisitors prefer to use stormtroopers raised to be inquistorial henchmen, but the DKoK's loyalty to the Imperium and it's institutions means they'd be easily convinced into coming along with the Inquisitor if he or wanted them. As most inquisitorial stormtroopers are raised in special scholas, they wouldn't be Kriegers, Steel Legionnaires, Cadians, Catachans Valhallans, Vostroyans, Mordians, Elysians, Praetorians, Tallarns, or what have you.

Technically by the end of the war....the entire 88th seige army was inducted into Inquisitor Lord Rex's warband. Many subordinate Inquisitors took direct command of regiments/companies on the field as well. While it doesn't specifically say so in the end of the book naratives, it suggests that most of the units on Varks of Krieg did go on to fight in many battles. It never specifically says they go back to being imperial guard or do they go die in future battlefields of the inquisition's order. Ref- varks book 3, page 88 last paragraph

As from GK fluff, most IG that fight with the inquisition and specifically the GK's generally get executed, I can only imagine that the 88th seige army was spared because it was still an inquisition warband even at the end of the war.

With the munitorium being what it is,, it's probably still making arms and supplying reinforcements to the seige army long after it became an inquisition force just simply because some drone never changed the signifiers so it is entirely possible to have dedicated Krieg inquisition units/armies what have you.

Cool, thanks! That's all I needed to know. Gives me an excuse to buy some from forgeworld for my GK/Inquisition.
