Which one is better for either a 1000pt or 1500pt army?

I´d always take the Jetbike. You are still EW, have more then 2 HP, a decent CCW and the better looking model

Kind of depends on if you have a good squad to stick him with.

Against anything Str9 or lower the skimmer is much more survivable. It also has better firepower overall.

The bike is pretty good for tanking shots for a command squad and can be nasty in the assault.

I don't see the choice as a clear one but I always take the bike as I have a very cool model for it.

*Corvex all the time, every time. Much more versatile and you can do damage in both shooting and assault. Use him to buff RAS with Skilled Rider, tank high AP fire on your Command Squad, hit and run at I5, detach him solo to bait firepower, tank overwatch, run down squads on levels you can't reach with bikes and generally terrorise the enemy. I don't even run him as Warlord so he becomes a fast, hard-to-kill nasty thorn in your opponent's side who is completely expendable.

speeder is worthless. You simply put out no damage for the cost. Jetbike or dont take him.
