So...

Spinal surgery sucks, lemme tell you. Having hobby projects left half finished due to it is almost as bad (maybe more, depends on your priorities).

Going from rock steady hands to somewhat shaky is not conducive to maintaining a good quality painting aesthetic, either (or typing well).

But I'm painting again, on the mend, and the painting is a great way to re-teach my body to be steady and calm. Here's my completed terminators. See if you can guess what steps I finished before the surgery:

And showing that I have magnetized the Cyclone Missile Launchers (there are two TH/SS terminators who also have received magnets but have not been painted):

Hey these look great, i suffer something similar with the extremely shaky hands and i find the best way is to rest you wrists or forearm on a desk while painting, cuts the shaking right down

It certainly helps. But fingers have been acting of their own accord, too. It is getting better. It's just a part of my spine no longer being compressed and my nerve impulses sorting themselves back out for the first time since I was like, 2.

Thank you. It's a very quick technique, too. I've spent years trying to find a way to make the Deathwing bone color look good (and not like a creamsicle), and I'm finally happy with it. It does involve some oil based paints, but they're part of what make it so quick.

I said it on the other post, and I'll say it again here. Sweet terminators, especially given the circumstances!
Definitely like the tone of the bone armor.

They look great, well done ;-) I hope your recovery goes smoothly; I hear pounding an enemy squad to mush with bone-coloured powerfists is good rehabilitation.

Sorry to hear about the surgery, but frankly these are better than anything I've painted!

Thanks. It's the part I'm proudest of and took a lot of attempts to finally get right through the years.

No, thank you, man.

Both for your service and for letting someone as insignificant as me be inspiration. All my best thoughts and wishes are with you in your fight. I wish you well and the ability to overcome.

These look awesome, dude. I hope you get better soon, man. Keep up the good work! You do better paint jobs with shaky hands and a bad back than I do when I'm healthy!

Here's to me in my sober mood,
When I ramble, sit, and think.
Here's to me in my drunken mood,
When I gamble, sin, and drink.
And when my days are over,
And from this world I pass,
I hope they bury me upside down,
So the world can kiss my ass!

Looking good, hope you heal okay, I know firsthand how much surgery can bugger up painting, you have my congratulations.
