Recently I fielded a small unit of nobz and they got destroyed so I was wondering what the most effective way of running them in a small game is (1500-2000pts) I was thinking of a unit of over 5 accompanied by a warboss.

Maybe something like this:
-Nobz x8 350pts
painboy, waaagh banner, eavy arrmour,cybork, 2 pks, 2 kombi rokkits, 2 ammo runts
+ Dedicated battlewagon 150pts
4 big shoot as, deff rolla, red paint, armour plates, grot riggers

How do you run nobz?

Ditch eavy armour and rokkits, aswell as a couple of nig shootas on a wagon.

Regular nobs are good but too expensive for what they do.

For 500 points your opponent gets assault terminators in a land raider wich are imo better.

lol I think you meant big shootas

but yeah I guess I might just try running them cheaper
how about this:

Nobz x8 265pts
painboy, cybork, PK, 2 kombi skorchas
and battlewagon w/ 2 big shootas deff rolla, armour plates, red paint 135pts

and if I don't run nobz what would you suggest in their place?

I run them like this.

All cybork bodies
Painboy
Waagh banner, choppa
3x Powerklaw
5x Choppa (maybe I should make these big choppa but not sure)

With Ghazgkhull in a BW

It's really good IMO and really fun to play. if you have a big challenge just Waagh! and let Ghazzy eat them with his 2+ invul.

If you're not putting them on bikes, you're probably better with Mega-Armoured Nobs.

Most armies will pack the firepower to deal with a Battlewagon at range, and footslogging nobs will find it very hard to get into close combat in time for it to matter.
