Looking at different ideas for a 1000 point, semi-competitive list for a charity tournament. No fliers are allowed.

Looking at two different lists right now for this theme;

Forcefield Mek
20x Loota
40x Shoota Boy
3x Grot Bomm Launcha
6x Killa Kan w/ Grotzooka

Scrap-King Skalk Bluetoof
An underwhelming character who is very fluffy and allows one unit of Lootas to be troops
15x Lootas [Troops]
30x Shoota Boy, 3x Big Shoota
3x Grot Bomm Launcha
3x Killa Kan w/ Grotzooka
Lifta Wagon w/ Deff Rolla

The latter trades away a little (more) competitiveness for a bit more fluff, a fun toy (Lifta Wagon), and the ability to gak all over my hated nemesis (the Manticore, and to a lesser extent all Guard artillery) by flipping that bastard right on his ass. The downside is that it probably sucks even more than the first list.

Well deathskulls like looting so why not get as many looters in there as possible?

I haven't given much consideration to how it would perform, just trying to get as many things with the term loot in it. They're deathskulls after all, so all orks in this are dedicated looters and helped by their grots techies.

Oh yeah should mention something about what you put up...uhhhhh 1st one. Just having the IC that makes lootas troops, i dunno about that.

He exists, but he's pure crap. Only reason to take his is for a themed list or if you *insist* on cramming 75 Lootas into a single FoC. Sub-Warboss stats, a Kustom Megablasta, and Eternal Warrior for 95 points ~ big whoop

I actually kinda like the above list. After so much forgeworld part of me wants to just stick to the crappy regular codex. I'm kinda dissappointed at the range of that Boomgun though - don't get me wrong though, thats what those types of guns *should* be IMO rather than like 72" and such

I reckon the KFF Mek might be surplus to requirements though. If I swap him for Skalk, theres no need to take that second Grot blob, which means overall 30 points saved. If I can dig up another 5 points I can get a Grot Bomm... thats kind of important to me because I reckon they're a damn good way to stun-lock Manticores which I absolutely despise. Or of course, a Grot Bomm Junka (It's a "Junka", thats gotta a looted pile of scrap if you ask me!)...

Yeah I know what you mean about the mek, but wasn't sure what else to do, had thought the lootas and grots go behind the adl and the mek hangs with the wagons (maybe with a grot mob of his own). The 36" range wouldn't be an issue though as its effectively 42" and its only 1000pts
