The best empire lists nowadays revolve around Walter, a level 4 light and a handful of low level light mages. Generally 2/3. This gives you a S6/7 banishment from Walter and a S5/6 banishment from your level 4. This is in combination to the rest of the artillery empire armies bring.

And my guys are slow...
Plus Timewarp is nasty and there's a few demon and vamp players, so the extra D6 Damage spells are nice too

Overall a pretty good list i often use something similar and had a fair bit of success, though not sure why you have the archers never found too much use for them single unit of 10 isnt going to make too much impact probably drop them and upgrade level 3 to a 4 would be my only advice curious as to how successful your halberds are had rather mixed success with them but i think its more my bad luck than anything

The Archers is for my wizard to sit in! He'll hide behind units so people hit the unit at -3 and I'll get look out sirs still.
