Well after trying to sell my Ork army locally Ive decided Im going to have to thrown them up on Ebay. Does anyone here have any experience in the best way to package the army to lessen breakage. I do realize that the minis are going to break in transit but id like to lessen it as much as possible. Thanks for the help guys!!

A few quick tips that I have learned while moving my models on bartertown...

1. Wrap infantry models in bubblewrap "tubes", 4-5 models per tube.
2. Note do not wrap metals in with other models, they're heavy enough when they shift to break stuff of scratch paint.
3. Wrap vehicles in bubble wrap, separating pieces that are not glued down
4. Put a layer of peanuts down and place the bubble wrapped models on the peanuts and then fill gaps with peanuts.
5. You should have enough peanuts so that the models don't move when you shake the box.

While it is the hope that no model ever breaks in shipping it happens. I would hope that some level of care is given to the models to be sent if I was buying built models but I would not expect every one to arrive perfect. I have seen metal models fall over on the table from their base and lose a banner.

Boxes in boxes, in turn containing the bubblewrapped models are a very good packing strategy too.
Still, packing an ork army's a pain in the neck - I thought the Khador army I bought a couple of months ago turned out bulky and that wasn't even two dozen models

I go with the "if it rattles, you didn't pack it properly" (I've packed glassware you could dropkick and not break - either on the kick, or the impact) but 15 years in logistics and shipping helped there.

Void fill is your friend. Small bits get bagged up. Vehicles get bubblewrapped if feasible (no protrusions likely to snap off).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
