So I been kicking around an idea of an ig list with out grey knight allies and i thought raven guard why not. Not sure if it would be competitive or not just something different that sounds kinda fun.

Drop the valkyrie for a vendetta, it sounds weird but that is going to be your primary answer to the hellturkey if it doesn't drop near the quadgun. Though if memory serves it only fires after movement I think or before it moves?

I feel the scouts are a waste of points, can you make another assault squad?

Well you can seriously not go wrong with a Vendetta, it costs the exact same with bolter sponsons as your valkyrie does and it will turn nearly any armor into swiss.

I don't have my errata for guard with me but if Hydras ignore jink saves on skimmer I would consider dropping a basilisk for a pair of those puppies. Even if no one brings skimmers 2 shots generally always land as I use hydras regularly and it still functions fine it is just an expensive autocannon then.

well i was thinking pie plates of doom with the lisks actually and i dont know a cheap way to convert into a ven other than getting a godhammer landraider and stealing its sponsons hmmm if i steal its sponsons i could techincally make a redeemer and a crusader hmmmm just would need a multimelta and some frag launchers.

Bits order a pair of lascannons, it would cost less than 5 bucks for the cannons and maybe 3 dollars to ship. Magnetize everything and you are done. The scouts don't seem (to me) to serve much of a purpose you can try to get another jump infantry squad or sink in another vendetta. Two vendettas are all anyone really needs as they have an effective 6 shots of lascannon fire a turn and they are transports!

One chimera won't be getting to far up the board so you can consider either trashing it or putting both vets into vendettas and dropping them while the poor bloody infantry foot slog and get torn up sadly.

By dropping the chimera you gain another platoon squad and either a flamer or GL. I feel that would give your list some fangs and you can keep your basilisks too.

Well readjusted the list so hopefully it will have more teeth. and i have to take one troop choice and the scout would camp on my home objective or infiltrate where needed

Infantry Platoon x36 300 you don't seem to have any special weapons in your PCS. Maybe 4x flamers and put them in a Vendetta.
Platoon Command Squad, Commissar, Power Sword, Vox Caster x4 , Infantry Squad x3, Auto Cannon x3 You don't need the Vox at all, or, at most, you need 2. 1 for PCS and 1 for one IS since they will be joined. The AC's will be of less use without an Order

Remember that with all your screening units, this unit wil probably not see CC unless you are already losing badly

havent decided on the powers most likely rolling the problem is i cannot for the life of me find the pysker powers the ig can roll on it is in the big book but i have no idea.

and the scouts are there cause i needed a troop for my detatchment. and they could infiltrate and steal the relic if need be or they can make late game grabs for objectives like i said i have no idea how this will play i just want to try it out.

Well for infiltrate that gives you a turn 1 capture for either relic, middle objective, or maybe sniping. Even with that heavy bolter they will probably be torn to shreds and since it is heavy 3, it snap fires every time you move. One shot might land if you are lucky if all it does is snap fire. I would at least experiment with the unit before trashing it out.

Primaris Psyker (highly underated guard HQ in my own opinion) can take Telekinesis, Biomancy, Pyromancy, and Telepathy. Telepathy I feel is the best spell list for a Primaris as I always get a lot of milage out of him, after that I would say pyromancy and play dangerous with him.

bob thank you for the insight on the primaris i personally like the model and think hes awesome so what if i drop the basilisks and the infantry platoon bumped the scout squad to ten with sniper rifles and a heavey bolter or missile launcher as they are the same price.

the down side to the h.bolter is its a small template

mind you every thing right now is still up for debate and change

this is a list for a campaign i am soon to be joining and i want teeth but i dont wanna win at any cost something fun and slightly competitive
