Hi ! One of my friend talked me into converting my metal balrog into a bloodthirster. However, I don't really know where to start. I guesse I could make him hair with some green stuff first and paint the flames on his heads as a black mohawk. Then I woul need to replace his small sword by an axe... (any suggestion on what models would have a axe-piece for this ?). Then, I'll guess I will need to had some bits of armor on him (maybe shoulders, legs...). Would bits from the classic bloodthirster do the trick ? Thx for your answers and your time.

Bits from the plastic daemon prince box might be the right size? not having either model set; balrog or daemon prince I wouldnt know exactly lol! but for some reason I think its roughly the right kind of sizes?

edit I just popped to GW webstie to look at the daemon princ kit, there is indeed an axe, although it might be a bit plain for a bloodthirster :(
I did get distracted by the new Eldar pre order for a good while though plastic wraitguard!! yay and something weely welly big!

How good are your green stuff skills? This guy made armour from some sort of modelling putty and it looks really cool! http://www.throneofskulls.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=1258

At the very least, some shoulder and knee pads would make it look like a Bloodthirster

This could be done with green stuff or even plasticard.

Imperial guard: Because quantity has a quality of it's own.

Sisters of Battle can be used in any game, with the exception of chess, Monopoly and of course, Warhammer 40,000.

After 8 editions, you might have thought that GW could get fantasy right.

Super late to this thread...

That is my Bloodthirster/Balrog conversion. The shoulder pads are made from 2 different pressmolds. The end portion of a WFB chaos shield and 2 strips of plastic strips/skull/spiky thing.
