In lue of the upcomming Eldar release I've begun putting together a force - and Inspired by the Forgeworld models I've conjured up the following:


Really loving my investment in an Airbrush - but not quite sure how to do the wave serpent "fins" and my "hotrod flames", any ideas welcome

The flames look great that way on them with the bright teal of the rest of the model. Fins too.

All I'd say needs work is the gems. It may be the pic, but they look a bit too much like apples at the moment.

OK -- I like flames on my models too, but I have learned overt time that painting smooth lines over rounded shapes is REALLY hard. My suggestion--
Repaint the front end with the blue shade your using, and re-do the flames from the front end of the canopy and the inside of the wings. make the flame look like it is coming from the inside of the serpent rather than from the ountside fron end.
But i like the shade and the trim with white. Did you get your inspiration from the Doom of Mymeara Campaign book?
