Hi guys , i play as Imperial guard and i just found out one thing ...MY army sucks...i cant resist a close combat army without major casualties or major defeat ....SO i decided to save up my money and then order a Allie to my imperial guards to save them from close combat enemy's .
So i where wondering ...Blood angels ..like Mephiston and assult marines or Belial with terminators?

What kinda points level are you playing at? Dark Angels are great for Azrael, giving a massive blob of guardsmen with fearless and a 4+ invulnerable save, chuck in a load of flamers for overwatch. I'm not too knowledgeable about RW and DW but I've got the impression the general consensus is that DA aren't a CC army, as that seems what you're after.

BA aren't really a CC army anymore, they're more mobile and shooty. Space wovles and IG are awesome. Psyker battle squads using weaken resolve and SW Rune Priest with jaws of the world wolf with destroy any threatening MC's anywho, I'd recommend space wolves.

Sounds good , then i could use them with a Valhalla IG company . Sounds like a good idea , i will dig down in the SW codex then and see what they got

Company masters and veterans are a massive point sink and not at all worth it, expendsive and other units do exactly what they do.. MUCH BETTER like assault terminators.

I'd say just go for a rune priest over Njal, read up on tacticas and stuff online and make the call yourself mate.
